To ensure a secure connection, apply pipe thread compound or sealing tape to the threaded portion of the nipple. IPS (iron pipe size) and threaded to NPT (National Pipe Thread) pipe threads, it meets ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) specifications D1785 for quality assurance.
